Glossary

APAAR ID is a student's permanent academic account.

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. An APAAR ID is a unique, lifelong identification number for a student, created under NEP 2020's 'One Nation, One Student ID' idea, to hold academic records and credits that follow the learner across institutions. It is linked to the student's academic account in the national framework, with parental consent for minors.

In Indian schools

An APAAR ID is one more identifier a school needs to capture and keep accurately against each student. RaivatEdu can hold it on a custom field on the single student record, alongside the rest of a learner's details and governed by role.
