In school education, SSC stands for the Secondary School Certificate — the Class 10 qualification awarded by several state boards, including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana. It marks the end of secondary schooling and is the equivalent of the CBSE and ICSE Class 10 certificates. (The same letters also mean the Staff Selection Commission in a recruitment context, which is unrelated.)
In Indian schools
Whichever board awards it, the Class 10 year is a busy admissions and records period for a school. The board conducts the examination; the school runs the enrolment, fees and registers around it, which is the part a school management system handles.
