Co-ed is short for co-educational, describing a school or college where boys and girls study together in the same classes, as opposed to a single-sex (boys-only or girls-only) institution. The term describes the admission policy of the school, not its board or curriculum. Most Indian schools today are co-educational.
In Indian schools
Whether a school is co-ed or single-sex is simply an attribute of how it admits, and does not change the admissions machinery underneath. A school management system runs the same enquiry-to-enrolment pipeline either way.
