PRT stands for Primary Teacher — a teacher for the primary grades, roughly Classes 1 to 5. The role usually calls for a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and the relevant Teacher Eligibility Test. PRT, TGT and PGT together describe the common ladder of school teaching posts by the grades they cover.
In Indian schools
As with every teaching grade, a PRT is a staff member linked to batches and periods in the system. RaivatEdu holds staff as records with role-scoped access, so a primary teacher sees only what their role needs.
