Students and batches

One record per student. Seat limits that hold.

A student record holds the batch, the fees, the documents and the history in one place. Batches hold a seat limit that is enforced where it counts, so you know what is full before you promise a seat.

In short

What does students & batches do in RaivatEdu?

Every learner gets one student record with a full detail page, attached documents and a financial summary. Duplicate detection catches the same student being added twice at the front desk, and bulk import and export move data in and out by spreadsheet. Batches carry a seat capacity that is enforced at the database level, not just checked in the browser.

What students & batches does today.

Every line here is a feature that exists in the product right now. Anything still being built is listed further down, on the same page.

01

The student record

A full detail page per learner: which batch they are in, what they owe, which documents you have collected and what has happened so far. The financial summary sits on the record, so a counsellor answering a parent's call does not have to open another screen.

  • Full detail page per student
  • Document and file attachments
  • Per-student financial summary
  • History on the record

02

Duplicate detection at the front desk

The same student gets entered twice more often than anyone admits: once by the person who took the call and once by the person who took the walk-in. RaivatEdu checks as the record is created and shows you the likely match before you commit.

  • Match check on entry
  • Side-by-side duplicate dialog
  • Decide before the record is created

03

Getting data in and out

Start from the spreadsheet you already keep. Import in bulk, export in bulk, and work through a list with bulk select and a confirmed bulk delete when a cohort needs clearing.

  • Bulk import from spreadsheet
  • Bulk export
  • Bulk select
  • Bulk delete with confirmation

04

Batches with seat limits

Set the capacity for a batch and the limit holds. This is the difference between a seat count you trust and a number in a sheet that three people are editing.

  • Batches with courses
  • Seat capacity per batch
  • Capacity enforced at the database level
  • Status filters and date ordering

05

Working through a long list

Sortable and filterable table and card views, with status filters that survive a link. Send a colleague the filtered view rather than describing it.

  • Table and card views
  • Sorting and filtering
  • Status filters with shareable links

Where this stops

What students & batches does not do.

We would rather you read this before you buy than discover it in week two. If something here is a requirement for you, tell us and we’ll be straight about the timeline.

Ask us about a gap
  • Students, batches and documents are here; exams, marks and grading are not part of the product.
  • Staff exists as an entity type for teachers, faculty and admin, but there is no separate teacher sign-in scoped to a batch.

FAQ

Students & Batches, answered plainly.

  • A match check runs as the record is being created and shows the likely existing student in a dialog, so the person at the front desk decides before a second record exists rather than after.

  • Yes. Each batch carries a seat capacity, and it is enforced at the database level rather than only checked in the interface, so a second staff member cannot slip an extra student in from another screen.

  • Yes. Bulk import reads a spreadsheet, and bulk export takes the data back out whenever you need it elsewhere.

  • Yes. Documents and files attach to the student record, so identity proofs, previous marksheets and signed forms sit with the learner rather than in a shared drive.

  • Yes. A financial summary sits on the record itself, drawn from the fee plan, so a counsellor can answer a fee question without leaving the student.

  • Yes, with bulk select and a confirmation step. It is deliberately a confirmed action rather than a one-click one.
