CBSE is the Central Board of Secondary Education, a national-level board under the Government of India. It affiliates schools across the country and abroad, prescribes NCERT-based syllabi, and conducts the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. It is one of the most widely followed school boards in India, alongside the state boards and CISCE.
In Indian schools
For a CBSE school the board governs affiliation, syllabus and the board exams; the day-to-day of admissions, fee collection, batches and attendance is the school's own to run. That administrative half is exactly what a school management system is for — the board exams themselves stay with CBSE.
