NCVT is the National Council for Vocational Training, an advisory body that set standards and awarded the National Trade Certificate for courses run by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). In 2018 it was merged with the National Skill Development Agency to form the NCVET, the National Council for Vocational Education and Training, which now regulates the wider skilling ecosystem. The 'NCVT' label is still widely used by learners and institutes for ITI certification.
In Indian schools
Training institutes and ITIs deal with enrolment, batches, fees and certificates far more than a mainstream school does. That learner lifecycle — sign-up to certificate — is where a system built for training providers earns its place.
