SCERT is the State Council of Educational Research and Training — a state-level body that mirrors NCERT at the state level. It develops the state board's curriculum and textbooks, designs teacher-training programs, and advises the state government on school education. Each state has its own SCERT, so the syllabus and books vary from one state to another.
In Indian schools
An SCERT shapes what and how state-board schools teach; it does not run an individual school's office. Admissions, fee collection and attendance remain the school's own to manage, which is where a school management system comes in.
