NCERT is the National Council of Educational Research and Training, an autonomous body set up by the Government of India in 1961. It designs the national curriculum framework, publishes the textbooks that most CBSE and many state-board schools use, and supports teacher training and educational research. Its books are widely treated as the baseline syllabus for school exams and for many competitive entrance tests.
In Indian schools
A school rarely 'uses' NCERT in software — it adopts NCERT books and syllabus for its classes. What the office manages around that is enrollment into those classes, the fees for the year and the register, which is where a school ERP fits rather than in the curriculum itself.
